It's Almost the New Year

It's about that time of the year when we get to look back and appraise ourselves: how well have we fared this year? What have we learnt? What habits have reduced?
What habits have increased? What have we achieved? But yet again, that's only really assessable if there were goals that we set out to accomplish early on. I've learnt this year that a body continues in its constant state of motion or rest except an external force acts on it. In simple terms, you've got to make things happen if they are to happen. You don't expect to have money reserves if you squander every penny that comes to you neither do you expect to be able to make a dear friend happy on his/her birthday if you don't make a plan of what you want to accomplish that. What I’m saying, in essence, is this: your set goals at the start of the year would help you know how much progress you've made in the course of the year. We are purposeful beings, and in every purpose are processes that bring about the end product of achieving/fulfilling the said purpose. What's your purpose? What have you learnt on your journey to purpose? Think deeply about these things, because it's also about the time to set new goals.

Get ready for the New Year. Start by praying about it now. Don’t know what to pray, join a church for a Cross Over service.

God bless you.
